The brief
Since 1996, Toronto District School Board social workers have referred families in need each holiday season, and schools and private donors build them hampers. The program needed a warm public face for donors and a private, secure tool to run profiles, donors and matching for the people who coordinate it.

The brand and logo, the public site, and hub.thehamperhub.com: sign-in by emailed code, a seven-step profile form for social workers that saves as they go, review and approval by Learning Centre leads, and a coordinators’ dashboard.

Privacy by design
No family names, addresses, phone numbers or photos anywhere in the system. Emails carry no family details, every view is logged, and the data is designed to be wiped at the end of each season.
